Shuttle - CDPH Richmond Campus and BART

To take the shuttle from BART to the November 8, 2018 SGP meeting, you must sign up at this link by 11:30 am on November 7, 2018.

The shuttle stop location is shown on the map below.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) funds a shuttle to travel between its Richmond Campus and the El Cerrito Del Norte BART station at 6400 Cutting Blvd., El Cerrito. The shuttle service is free to employees and visitors (with prior notification only - see below).

The following policies and procedures are in place for the safety and security of all shuttle riders. Passengers who do not follow these policies will not be allowed to ride the shuttle.

Hours of Service

The hours of service are 6:30 a.m. through 6:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, excluding all state holidays.

Visitors

Visitors are not allowed on the shuttle without prior notification.  Visitors must show valid identification (e.g., driver’s license or passport) upon boarding.

You must sign up for the November 8, 2018 Scientific Guidance Panel (SGP) meeting no later than 11:30 am on November 7, 2018 in order for your name to be added to the shuttle list.

Children are not allowed to ride the shuttle unaccompanied by an employee or an approved visitor.

Location of Shuttle Stops

At the El Cerrito del Norte BART station, the shuttle stops near the pedestrian walkway. See the map below for the current stop location (the BART station is under construction). Please be sure to check this webpage on the day before the SGP meeting for updated information, because ongoing construction at the BART station may result in a shuttle stop location change.

At the CDPH Richmond Campus, the shuttle first stops outside of "Building P", then at the "Building F" main entrance, location of the auditorium where the SGP meeting is being held (see Building F in photo, above).

Frequency

During peak hours (6:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.), the shuttle travels every eight minutes between the Richmond Campus and BART.  During non-peak hours, the frequency is 30 minutesIf the shuttle is more than 10 minutes late, contact Security at (510) 307-8411 so that CDPH Facility Management can check with the shuttle company.

Safety and Accessibility

Buses are wheelchair accessible, equipped with a bike rack and outfitted with seatbelts.
